Abstract
We started this book with the intention of providing an outline, a succinct story describing the business system and management practices in Greece. It began as a simple categorization of contextual factors and managerial activities and ended in a rich tapestry of behavioural patterns, linking systemic elements and actions. In the process, we learnt more about how certain systemic structures and institutional contexts allowed for the development of the Greek business system, leading in turn to the emergence of certain managerial practices. The themes that surfaced in chapter after chapter revealed a complex mix of the above elements posing certain challenges to the system.
