Abstract
This paper aims to argue how developing self-awareness through clinical supervision may promote nurses’ cultural competencies in inpatient mental health care. Such capabilities include the ability to effectively work with those who may have differences in linguistics, beliefs and values within the context of different national, ethnic, religious, spiritual and/or social groups.
