Abstract

The Health Foundation commissioned Sustrans and the University of the West of England to ‘assess the role of transport in supporting young people to develop and transition to an independent healthy future’. This report focuses on the transport available to young people and how it’s functioning can shape the long-term health of young people today.
The report makes seven policy and research recommendations based on the review of existing literature and analysis of how transport can affect young people’s development and future prospects.
