Abstract
In March 2024 the authors organised a three-day workshop on output checking processes for trusted research environments (TREs). The aim was to explore current practices identify good/best operational practices. The report was intended to be a proof-of-concept for the ESRC Future data Services programme, to show how TREs could be engaged to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and fairness of their operations.
This report summarises the workshop. The practice guidelines produced as a result of this workshop are also availabel on the UWE repository.
Both authors were Strategic Fellows for the FDS programme. The views expressed here of those of the authors and not necessarily ESRC or FDS.
