Abstract

This preface discusses the social costs of capitalism as megamachine. The focus is on linking the book's main thesis on capitalist double-entry book keeping as essence of the megamachine with the heterodox economics theory of social costs. The socialization of losses is exposed as a core algorithmic mechanism of the capitalist megamachine.
