Associate Professor in Knowledge Exchange in Engineering
As a social psychologist, Laura explores how to embed theories about groups and communications into practice, developing projects with communities to enable climate action and sustainable development. In this talk, she outlines how role modelling and social -in-group support can be used to maximise change. Drawing on examples from the ClairCity and WeCount projects, she discusses citizen-led air pollution and carbon emissions reduction in Bristol. She also looks at maximising repair and reuse in the MAKERS project at UWE Bristol, as well as green careers to retrain and upskill our workforce.
