A systematic review of the factors impacting the mental health, well-being, performance, and intention to leave of frontline ambulance staff
Anchors, Zoe
Abstract
This systematic literature review will explore the impact of specific factors on the mental health, well-being, performance and intention to leave of frontline ambulance staff. These specific factors have been identified as significant drivers of negative outcomes in our pilot study investigating occupational stress in one Ambulance Trust and include: manager support, workplace demands, change and its communication, relationships, mental rest and stress appraisal. The results of this review will feed into a NIHR RfPB research proposal that aims to design a stress management intervention for ambulance staff in the UK.
