Composing with crystallography

Abstract

Collaborative project with Architects and Crystallographers from Cardiff University to explore creative opportunities within crystallographic data-sets and modelling algorithms. This composition research developed and extended their Leverhulme funded research which had already commenced. Outcomes included a paper, music, generative compositions, audio-visual work and an installation at Acud Macht Neu gallery in Berlin (2018). Supported by Arts Council England and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
