Abstract

The Planning Advisory Service commissioned the University of West of England (UWE) to research the role that Local Planning Authorities (LPA) can play in delivering housing-led development on brownfield land. The research resulted in a set of case studies. Each one demonstrates how LPAs can successfully facilitate the bringing forward of land, work proactively with stakeholders, overcome obstacles and contribute to the delivery of positive outcomes from housing-led developments.
