Abstract

The preparation of transparent, c. 50 nm thick, conducting (c. 5.0 S cm-1) films of polypyrrole onto non-conducting substrates, e.g. acrylic, polyester, glass is described. The coating was produced by a dip process into a colloidal dispersion of polypyrrole, which was prepared in an aqueous system by ferric ion oxidation of pyrrole. © 1990.
