Abstract

Richard Cheston is a Dementia Research Professor at the University of Bristol. As a clinical psychologist with a background in group psychotherapy, he has extensive experience leading groups of people with dementia and is co-founder of the "Living Well with Dementia" project, which began in 2010 (for more information on the project, visit https://www.livdem.co.uk/). Professor Cheston will engage in a conversation with participants on the topic of the social stigma associated with a dementia diagnosis and the possibility of openly discussing dementia with the diagnosed person.
