Additional Information | Additional Information : This article positioned music therapy within its wider social, policy and musical contexts, contributing to the current international debate on the place of music in relation to health, education and social change. A case example explores links and differences between processes in music therapy and education supported by underpinning theory. Bunt's own research is used as evidence of effective practice and the article challenges music therapists to explore: a wide range of music, including the use of technology; different areas of practice (adoption services, crisis intervention in mainstream schools etc); and diversity of roles (therapist, adviser, trainer etc.). |
