Abstract

This chapter provides a descriptive analysis and implications of entrepreneurship education as a pathway to raising the human capital of hitherto excluded groups in conflict zones in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The findings reveal that inadequate human capacities, weak institutions and lack of a harmonised pedagogy hinder effective use of entrepreneurship education for socioeconomic development. Consequently, the chapter proposes incorporating entrepreneurship education in primary and secondary school curricula as a way to facilitate peace-building and mitigate the prevalence of economic fragility in SSA.
