Additional Information Additional Information : This book is based on a 3 year EU-funded six country project co-directed by Weil and Prof Wildemeersch, University of Leuven. It presents an integrated exploration of espoused, enacted and experienced dimensions of policies into practice' for unemployed youth. Impact was strengthened by a whole system' analysis of the core tension in European aspirations to increase employability without increasing social exclusion. Professor Karen Evans (author of the Foreword) welcomed the exploration of participatory public learning and improvisational policy formation' and cited the development and contrast of restricting activation' with reflexive activation' as the most important, original, and central idea'. Academic reviewers have applauded the authors' ambition' in producing a book that offers new insights into the lives of young adults' (International Journal of Lifelong Education) and the creative' innovative' and fascinating' construction of the text: different from anything that has gone before' (Youth and Policy). Weil was responsible for 45%.
