Additional Information	Additional Information : This paper results from commissioned research for the Primary Educators Network for Advancing Citizenship. It is based on empirical work with PGCE students at the British Empire and Commonwealth Museum in Bristol and presents an analysis of some of the challenges which student teachers face in tackling sensitive and controversial issues with children.
