Abstract
In 2020, the CFPR, in conjunction with the Royal Photographic Society, made a call for papers for a conference, workshops and an exhibition with the title: ‘Don’t’ Press Print-De-constructing and re-construction the wet-plate collodion process’.
Mark Osterman and France Scully from the Eastman Museum in New York agreed to be keynote speakers, 16 artists and practitioners were accepted as speakers, and the venue was confirmed at the Royal Photographic Society in Bristol, as well as UWE’s Bower Ashton Campus.
Covid-19 put a stop to a physical conference, and work was not shown in physical format, but instead virtually presented on the Zoom during 2 days in October.
For the occasion of Impact12, a select group of contributors of the 2020 collodion conference came together to showcase work that was presented during the conference, as well as new work inspired by topics discussed and insights gained during the presentations and discussions, curated by Frank Menger.
