Abstract

In this presentation, artist researcher Wuon-Gean Ho shares some of her recent creative outputs through the lens of time. She explains how her work bridges still and moving image through printmaking, book-making, film and animation. Some examples of the above include a video charting the creation of the print “Hand, Made with Love” for a conference platform run by CFPR and Crafts Council in 2020; her award-winning book, “Unending Forest” which displays a landscape that requires the viewer to circle the book in order to view in its entirety; her award winning animation, “Shadow Boy and Shadow Girl” made from two reduction linocut prints; and how her recent exploration of humour in narrative in the “Covid Tales” series of prints folds time into the narrative aspects of the compositions.
