Abstract
How do you meaningfully represent what happened in a project?
How do we re-create the ‘feel’ of a shared moment in time to share with audiences who weren’t there?
How do we understand what it meant to those involved and means to us now?
In this half day workshop at Towner Eastbourne artist Katy Beinart and writer Lizzie Lloyd will talk through some of the issues raised through their current project Acts of Transfer. They will be joined by Beverley Bennett and Benjamin A Owen, both working in engaged practice as artists and filmmakers. Together they will host an afternoon workshop/ talk/ performance inviting artists to experience the ‘working out’ of these questions together.
This workshop is for artists, students or practitioners who would like to share their social practices and who are interested in sharing ways of documenting this their work.
