Abstract

Falling into Place is the eighth in a series of co-published partnerships, entitled Fabrications, initiated by Book Works and is a parallel publication to Heather and Ivan Morison's The Black Cloud, commissioned by Situations. In this book, the artists bring together a recent body of work, incorporating a range of shelters and escape vehicles in a narrative that is part science fiction, part history, part auto-biography, part fairytale. Referencing a dystopian outlook on humanity and its future, the Morison's book is a highly poignant wake-up call, bound in an engrossing novella that offers an extraordinary insight in a rich and intriguing artistic practice.
