Abstract
The purpose of this chapter is to critically reflect on the response in the United States towards financial crime originating from the 2008 financial crisis. The chapter briefly outlines the responses to the financial crisis introduced by President George Bush and President Barak Obama. The chapter then appraises the regulatory response towards financial crime deriving from the financial crisis. This involves a detailed analysis of the relevant enforcement by the SEC, FBI, CFTC and the DoJ
