Additional Information | Additional Information : This chapter was written as one of 30 invitations to scholars of photography in Europe, Australia and the USA. Each was asked to respond to the transcribed text of a symposium (printed in the volume) on the problematic status of the conceptualisation of the photograph and photography after 30 years of its academic study. Lister's response in this article contains a short statement of a longer argument elaborated later in A Sack in the Sand: Photography in the Age of Information' (Output 1) which is then used as the basis for a discussion of what is at stake in the ways that we think about photography now. |
