Abstract
In May 2020 the European Urban Research Association (EURA) launched a series of ‘conversations’ on the EURA website. The purpose of this initiative was to create a new space where EURA members could discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cities and communities, and to explore how the pandemic might reshape cities and urban studies in the future. This book brings together the first 45 contributions to EURA Conversations series. Writers from 21 different countries have contributed, and the topics covered in the range widely. Insights are provided not just on the way the pandemic has caused suffering and distress, but also on the way cities across the world have introduced innovative policies to respond to new challenges and concerns.
