Abstract
The Black Cloud comprised a temporary public sculptural, pavilion-like structure built in Victoria Park, Bristol which formed the focus of a four-month series of events which explored alternative approaches to future climatic and economic scenarios. The project built on the artists’ residency in Bristol in 2007 which formed part of the RSA’s Arts and Ecology programme (www.artsandecology.org). The structure was visually arresting, a landmark temporary public art work in the park, with the design reflecting the artists’ research into global architectural solutions to climatic scenarios.
