Abstract

The use of scientific or technical jargon has been considered an issue in science communication. Using works by Michael Crichton I argue that this concern has often overshadowed other aspects such as the format of science communication: if the format is appealing, such as novels and movies, then even the use of jargon ceases to be an issue.
