Abstract
'The Hand is the Cutting Edge of the Mind' is an essay in the 'Stitching & Thinking: Mending at the Museum' exhibition catalogue. It sets the Stitching and Thinking group of artists in the context of recent developments in British crafts and particularly textiles.
The 'Stitching and Thinking DVD' is a 20 minute edited video of interviews with the Stitching and Thinking artists dicussing the genesis of the exhibition and the work which was included in the exhibition at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery (16 November 2012 - 7 April 2013).
