Abstract

A short article summarising the data findings from the ESRC project Rethinking Child Protection Strategy, presented in full in our Working Paper 'Learning from Trends' and related ESRC Evidence Briefing. Highlights policy problem of driving increasing number of referrals as there is no proportionate increase in the amount of detected child abuse: instead the ratio has fallen. Policy change is indicated.
