Abstract

This paper presents a solution to the exchange of services within an agent society. We explore an open delivery chain scenario in which autonomous drones offer and subcontract delivery services to each other. Such agents are able to self-organize according to a chain of responsibility pattern. In such a heterogeneous agent society, it is crucial to define an approach that will guarantee accountability, responsibility, and ultimately trust in the execution of the service. The presented solution is based on smart contracts using a blockchain style of a distributed ledger.
