Abstract
This piece was created in UWE using Laser cutting technology and relief printing on offset press. The work was created as part of a body of research that explores how the artist can communicate interruption in landscape through application of technical "glitches " or "disruptive" artefacts within the image. The digital preparation of the image involved applying and manipulating filters on Photoshop. The purpose of this was to push the boundaries of how soft marks and blurring could be achieved in relief printing, previous to this image there had been little success in achieving a printable relief matrix that could hold a blurred mark.
