Abstract
Hope: 28' drama for BSL Zone, Film4 and Together Channel
Hope is a care-free, fun-loving Deaf teenager... but a fatal diagnosis is about to change everything.
Hope is a fun loving Deaf 17 year old who's enjoying partying and is planning for the next stage of her studies. When she is diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, her world is turned upside down. How does she deal with her illness and the people around her, leaving her family and friends with a legacy of hope? This moving short film is based on a true story. It stars newcomers Julia Wejnar, Darlene Back and Liam McCabe, and was written by Lynn Stewart-Taylor and directed by David Ellington. A VS1 Productions and Drummer TV production for BSLBT.
