Raising sustainability awareness: Engaging the whole institutional community

Abstract

This presentation explores the approach being taken by UWE to extend the ‘circle of the committed’ already engaged with ESD in the university. The university has set an ambitious target of 100% of all students being able to engage with the idea of sustainable development through their discipline of study. We recognise that more of the same approaches will not necessarily engage all disciplines and academics and this paper describes a Learning Resource project designed to support the university in meeting its engagement goal.
