Additional Information Additional Information : This article is based on a PhD and research project, funded by Carillion. The Virtual Construction Material Router (VCMR) proposed a novel approach to materials routing. It integrates advanced Decision-support Systems techniques to determine the best available routes between various locations on complex construction sites. A prototype of VCMR intelligent routing selection system has been developed. The results of this project were used in construction sites, managed by Carillion. Mahdjoubi was the Director of Research and Yang a research student. Lead author.
