This book seems to me destined to become a classic of its kind.' The book has also been reviewed in Feminist Media Studies (Vol 7 [3], March 2007) and Screening the Past (Issue 21 June 2007). The book includes work on Cary Grant that is now the starting point for Glitre's new research project, Starring Cary Grant: Casting and performance in classical Hollywood film, funded by an AHRC Research Leave Grant for 2008 (AH/F004184/1 £22,548); this will culminate in a second monograph, contracted with Wallflower Press for the Close-Up series for publication in 2010 (35,000 words).
