@misc { , title = {Managing construction projects: A comparative analysis of success factors in Poland and Malaysia}, abstract = {Paper presents results of a survey that was aimed to evaluate importance of factors that influence the success in construction projects in Poland and Malaysia. Three areas (project manager and project team, project management process and relation with environment) were chosen with 17 factors to assess their influence on construction project success. The results reveal that factors that have the highest impact are: appointment of a project manager, well-prepared plan and project schedule, risk management, experience of project manager, commitment to the future user, well-chosen project team, reliable estimation of time, budget, scope. These results, however, differ in the two countries. Mann Whitney test results proved a statistically significant difference in a opinion on influence of a five factors. Reasons must be sought in cultural differences.}, pages = {80-87}, publicationstatus = {Published}, url = {https://uwe-repository.worktribe.com/output/836433}, keyword = {Centre for Architecture and Built Environment Research, project management, project success, construction industry, Poland, Malaysia}, year = {2015}, author = {Dzieko?ski, Krzysztof} editor = {Majtan, S.} }
