@book { , title = {Inks}, abstract = {In this book Hoskins identifies and remedies a lack of specialist literature about printmaking inks. This study builds on extended research undertaken between 2001-2004, and examines the production and manufacture of inks for the artist and printmaker. Through selected case studies, and drawing upon diverse practices and artworks, Hoskins outlines the methods used to manufacture ink for artists and creates a rationale for the use of specialist ink. Research methodologies undertaken are detailed as part of the published text. This publication was the result of a 2 year DTI funded TCS scheme with Cranfield Colours Ltd, Cwmbran, South Wales, worth £86,000 to develop a safe water-washable oil-based ink for artists. This TCS won the best transfer of technology award in 2003. Collaboration with industrial partners has continued with the re-manufacture of collotype ink which, since the end of Socialist Eastern Europe, had ceased to be made.}, isbn = {9780713663419}, publicationstatus = {Published}, url = {https://uwe-repository.worktribe.com/output/1057513}, keyword = {Centre for Fine Print Research}, year = {2004}, author = {Hoskins, Stephen} }
